Comparison of Gingival Inflammatory Parameters and Pain Perception on Periodontal Probing - A cross sectional study, Part II

Background: Probing of the periodontal pocket is an essential part diagnosis disease and 15-77% untreated patients experience pain during probing. Therefore, objective this study to evaluate perceived by with dental plaque-induced gingivitis chronic periodontitis probing main includes evaluation relationship between gingival inflammatory parameters. Material Methods: A total 475 participants were recruited into study. The divided two groups: Group-A (Gingivitis Group - 275 patients) Group-B (Chronic Periodontitis 200 patients). Clinical parameters included analysis bleeding on probing, simplified index, depth clinical attachment level. Pain score was recorded using HP VAS scale all participated in after a detailed explanation protocol.
